The results of the Sussex Photographic Federation's first-generation slide competition were announced on Sunday 13 May. The judge Glyn Bareham LRPS CPAGB awarded Melvyn Smith first prize in the Natural History section and CHRIS PHILIPSON of EPS was awarded first prize in the Open section.

The 2012 RPS International Print Exhibition had 2800 entries from 747 photographers - they accepted 123 prints from 105 photographers. So congratulations to EPS's Christine Couper for getting 'The Outlet' accepted. A fine achievement.

• Following on from the recent AGM, the EPS Committee has a new look. See who is doing what. We wish our new Chair Roy Morris a successful year. More details.

• The NEW PROGRAMME for next season has now been published - Iit is not yet fully complete and is subject to change.

The EPS Committee has recently carried out a LOOKING AHEAD REVIEW which looks at the structure of photographic competitions within the EPS programme. Read the FINAL REPORT. Also look at the new programme for next season which implements many of the report's findings.

Results from External Competitions

The KCPA Diamond Jubilee 2012 is a PDI inter-club competition. Each club enters 8 images. From 20 clubs EPS came SECOND! Well done to all those who took part. Along with the winners (Tonbridge CC) we now have the honour of representing the KCPA at the PAGB inter-federation PDI at Warwick later in the year. FULL RESULTS.

Checkout the results of the Sussex Photographic Federation Print Competition 2012 - a contest involving most of the clubs from Sussex - each club entered five prints to go into the five rounds of the contest. Club positions and the individual scores.

PAGB CUPS - see how well EPS did in these highly prestiguous national competitions.
Competing against the best clubs in the country Eastbourne Photographic Society achieved 26th in the PAGB GB OPEN CUP - this is from the 138 Clubs nationwide who took part - we were the TOP CLUB from the KCPA. In the PAGB GB NATURE CUP we achieved 28th place. Well done to all those who took part.

The results are now back from the KCPA 2012 Annual Print Exhibition and once again EPS has done well. We entered 76 prints and got 26 ACCEPTED for the exhibition - over a third of our entry is an excellent result. The star of EPS was MAURILIO TESO who obtained a GOLD, a RIBBON, and three other images accepted - brilliant!! MICHAELWINDLE also did very well with a RIBBON, three HIGHLY COMMENDED, and an acceptance. FULL RESULTS. Winners images on the KCPA Website.
